MHSAA had just filed bankruptcy and were hurting for new referees. With most of their money put towards the web, the rest was very strategic in getting their voice heard without busting the bank. Talk radio shows, high school gymnasiums, newspaper takeovers - were all ways that reached an audience and in the end other associations were wanting this campaign.
